I’m so happy to announce the inaugural Exhibition for Artist in Residence Trail Tasmania to be held in beautiful Deloraine, Tasmania from October 24th to November 8th, 2020.
Click here for the AIRTT Exhibition Entry Form 2020.
The themes for the Exhibition include: Rivers of Life, Mountain Inspirations, Wildlife Wonders and Vibrant Communities with works to be inspired by northern Tasmania.
The range of media for the exhibition is varied and includes textiles, paintings, sculpture, woodwork, needlework, prints and woodwork.
Entries are welcomed from across the country, from those who call Tasmania home, want to call it home, love visiting Tasmania or are dreaming of visiting Tasmania (see the common ground here?). This is all about celebrating our inspiring Tasmania and about sharing joy with fellow creatives from Geeveston in the south to Darwin in the north. It’s been a tough year and we need some fun.
Because of Covid-19 travel restrictions the Art in Residence Trail has had a very different start to life than we anticipated but we decided that the Exhibition could still go ahead as so many artists and artisans across Australia have work that is inspired by this beautiful region of Tasmania.
Entries need to have been completed since 2016, including this year, and in the medium preferred by the artist that aligns to one of the four themes.
