Come Have Fun at the Artist In Residence Trail Tasmania Exhibition

Let’s be frank, 2020 has been a shocker of a year for so many of us so we’ve figured it’s time for some fun!

We decided to go ahead with our exhibition featuring talented artists who are inspired by our stunning Tasmania and we would love for you to join us and share in the fun: 24 October to 8 November 2020.

The exhibition is across three great venues in a charming northern Tasmanian town called Deloraine. For all of us who love the Tasmanian Craft Fair you’ll know about the delights of Deloraine in spring, with platypuses in the river, cafes full of delicious food options, shortbread in the veg shop, arty shops along the main road and up the side ones too, great accommodation at the Hotel and loads of friendly folk. Well just because the Craft Fair is cancelled this year doesn’t mean that you have to miss out on your healthy and fun dose of creativity, inspiration and northern Tasmania. We’re open!

While this is our inaugural year, we’re looking forward to making the exhibition an even longer trail in coming years, we just thought we’d start with three venues and I’m so glad we did as it means we can much more easily look after the Covid rules we all need to respect.

It also means that you can organise catchup with friends and family (in small groups) to have the fun of checking out the exhibition and a potter around Deloraine and neighbouring towns.

Our venues are local businesses as well as gallery spaces so you’ll be able to do some shopping and eating too! Our venues are Art as Mania, Highland Felting and Fibre Supplies and the Empire Hotel (great food, entertainment and accommodation too!).
